Jodhaa Akbar centers around the romance between the 16th century Mughal Emperor, Akbar-the-Great, the founder of Din-i-Ilahi and famed for his Court of Navratnas, and his fiery Rajput princess wife, Jodhabai. Bringing us the story that precedes the legendary Mughal-E-Azam is acclaimed director Ashutosh Gowariker, the man behind Oscar-nominated Lagaan.
In the role of the revered Emperor is the unparalleled, immensely talented and reigning hearthrob, Hrithik Roshan. Over the years, Hrithik has proved his acting prowess by taking on a wide range of roles, from the mentally challenged to superhero and from terrorist to swashbuckling thief.
